Convergences Artistiques
Welcome
Non-profit association under French law, governed by the law of July 1, 1901
The Association Convergences Artistiques (ConvArt) is aiming to promote cultural diversity by setting up creative, training and promotional activities open to all artists.
These actions have an undeniable humanitarian and solidarity dimension.
Among the association’s objectives are gender equality, environmental protection, and the use of biodegradable materials in the design of artistic works.
Artistic expression as a link between human communities
Art, whatever its mode of expression, is a quest to act on reality, either to imitate, correct, challenge or distort it, or to give it something to love or dream about.
It doesn’t matter if the artist is addressing others, or if he himself wants to be the sole beneficiary of the forms he composes, the colors he makes speak, or the signs he expresses.
The artist is first and foremost a being on the move, creating, searching and looking at the world.
Willys Kezi
Founder of the association Convergences Artistique (ConvArt), I am Willys Kezi, a visual artist born in 19… (a woman never tells her age) in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, and graduated in Fine Arts and Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts of Kinshasa in 2008.
I continue my research through performances, drawing, collages, and painting. More recently, my latest series of drawings, created on kraft paper shopping bags, evoke life in Kinshasa and Paris.
